What is Eco-Schools?
Eco-schools is a government programme set up to help schools become environmentally sustainable. Environmental education is now a compulsory part of the curriculum. At St Luke’s we aim to provide our pupils with the opportunities to learn about the world around them and the importance of preserving it for future generations. St Luke’s has been involved in the Eco-schools programme since 2009. Last year we were awarded our first green flag which is now flying proudly at the gates of our school. This flag is a symbol of St Luke's status as an excellent environmentally sustainable school. Next year we will hopefully apply for our second green flag
